• All dashboards made by Glint creators are NFTs that are minted on-chain.

• All interactions with that dashboard — favoriting, bookmarking, sharing, liking, commenting, and more — are also on-chain interactions recorded by transactions.

• All of these transactions are collated by the Glint rewards smart contract, which tallies up these interactions and uses the data as its basis for paying out rewards.

The contract runs independently, is publicly verifiable and audited, and its payouts can only be modified by the Glint DAO which is governed by $GLNT holders. Parameters that can be adjusted include both total payouts and the circumstances for that payout.

For example, the most favorited dashboard might get 500 $GLNT, the top 10 favourited 200 $GLNT, the highest shared 1000 $GLNT — and so on a so forth.

These numbers are built to be changed as the community dictates and as the platform develops, but they provide a general example of how the Glint autonomous smart contract works.

Rewards paid by the Glint smart contract are not the only way that analysts and creators can earn through Glint. Glint does this by minting analytics dashboards as NFTs on-chain. When that dashboard is interacted with, those actions are recorded and are used to pay out $GLNT tokens in accordance to the weighting of votes. How these are rewarded is governed by the Glint DAO, of which all Glint holders are a member. The reward contract itself is run independently on the blockchain so users can see how rewards are paid and to who. Early Glint holders will also be able to vote on alpha and beta-testing on the Glint protocol.

Analysts receive even more rewards from the Glint contract in proportion to how much $GLNT is staked on their individual creator dashboards. Best of all, all this activity will be gas-free. Glint has preloaded an ETH contract to pay for all user transactions using the Glint dApp to provide the best new user experience and to make being an analyst trawling the blockchain explorer for profitable insights easier than it has ever been before. This ‘gas tank’ will be fuelled by payments received by Glint for the paid tier service.
